Services and What we Do

Mengo Teachers savings and credit society Ltd (METCO) swung into action by way of solving teachers’ problems based on time tested concepts and practices that have been in existence for over a century. METCO was registered (or born) in the then district of Mengo, now comprising of the current districts of Wakiso, Mpigi, Butambala, Gomba, Mityana, Mukono, Kayunga, Buikwe, Luweero, Nakaseke, Nakasongola, and Kampala. To date METCO still serves and offers financial and advisory services to its members in the said geographical area. The original objectives of METCO were:
  1. To develop a large financial fund for teachers.
  2. To unify teachers in order to improve their lot.
  3. To propagate economic ideas.
